Summary: Great stay in the train car at Te Anau Lodge. Friendly and very helpful staff. Kym was amazing, she helped us find the best cruise on Milford Sound, great hikes nearby and a restaurant recommendation. Breakfast was served in the dining room with delicious cold & hot options. Many extras with this stay. Thanks so much!

Summary: Very comfortable and private room, warm and welcoming communal lounge, nice homely touches like home baking and hot/cold drinks freely available. Host manager went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable.

Summary: This was the most gorgeous and quirky place to stay. We loved the heritage features and the creative atmosphere that has really shown off the fact that the owner has a good imagination. Consider a combination of an old convent building, beautiful spacious grounds, and then add a dollop of Alice in Wonderland. We were very happy with our stay in the bishops cottage, loved the location, and will come back to stay here as soon as we can plan another visit to Te Anau.
